you've used command line telnet

you've used command line FTP

you've used command line FTP to read your e-mail

you've used telnet to send e-mail

you've used telnet to browse the web

you've browsed a printer with SNMP

you've grepped a news spool

you know the command line options to netstat

you can read tcpdump output (I'll accept snoop, but not ethereal)

you can use nslookup to check an MX record

you know what an MX record is

You know your an old hand at computing when

you've used more than 20 operating systems (not including different versions of the same OS)

you've used more than 30 text editors

you've used more than 20 compilers (including different versions of the same)

you've used at least 10 script languages

you've used at least 5 markup languages

you've programmed in at least 5 assemblers
